Bite those bugs?

This morning we found a little something entitled ‘10 bugs-and-things kids can safely eat‘! So we thought we’d share it, just in case yours decide to chow down on bugs this summer.

Grasshopper, Bug

Remember that poison control numbers vary. Here in BC you need 1-800-567-8911 and not the number in the article.

While we often talk about plants during our session on poisons, bugs don’t come up very often…. Although our last training session did cover leach problems (OK, they might not be bugs). I don’t know why – it’s all about meeting the needs of individual student groups, right?

Anyway, enjoy the article and let us know what you think! (Yum, Yum! Chocolate covered too….)
